Tim Jansen

Throughout my time at Purdue, I have been focusing on one goal: making a difference. In my daily life, I work to make the world more sustainable and to further the development of humanity. I have ample knowledge of core ME courses as I am a senior who will be graduating in may 2022. Additionally, I have had plentiful experience in team projects at Purdue which focused on prototyping, CAD and analyzing data. While taking Toy Design I gained excellent knowledge of designing fully constrained motion assemblies and conducting FEA. I also made the ‘Crawler Strandbeest’ CAD assembly into a fully working prototype that ran on Arduino code. Over the past summers, I have had two internship experiences. Some of my responsibilities included analyzing pedestrian and vehicular traffic while making adjustments to increase flow and decrease congestion. To optimize this, I had to look at both numerical data and human factors. More details on my experience can be found in the tabs on the top of the page.
